Thursday, 26 November 2020, Saint John’s Junior High School BSD celebrated the inauguration of BI Corner. The cosy corner in the Library is a gift from by Bank Indonesia as a part of its Corporate Social Responsibility under the theme Indonesia Cerdas. The online inauguration through zoom was packed with more than 2500 participants.
Some teachers and staff from Saint John’s Catholic School joined the inauguration from the library while some student representatives joined from their own home.
Hopefully the books given in the BI Corner and the new comfortable corner to study or to work will help developing the love for reading. Saintjohners, since their early age, are always exposed to books and are encouraged to love reading. With the availability of this new and interesting corner in the library, students who come back to school after the home learning program will be more interested to visit the library.
BI Corner, oasis di tengah pandemic
Pada hari Kamis, 26 November 2020, ada peresmian BI Corner di Saint John’s Junior High School BSD. Sebuah pojok yang sangat nyaman di dalam Perpustakaan ini adalah pemberian Bank Indonesia sebagai bagian dari Pelayanan Masyarakat Perusahaan dengan tema Indonesia Cerdas. Lebih dari 2500 peserta memadati link zoom acara peresemian daring ini.
Sejumlah guru dan staff menghadiri acara ini secara fisik di ruang perpustakaan, sementara sejumlah wakil murid menghadiri acara ini secara daring dari rumah masing-masing.
Semoga buku-buku yang diberikan di BI Corner, dan pojok baca yang sangat nyaman untuk belajar maupun bekerja, bisa membantu meningkatkan kecintaan membaca. Murid-murid Saint John sejak usia dini sudah diperkenalkan pada buku-buku dan diajak untuk cinta membaca. Dengan kehadiran pojok yang baru dan menarik ini, murid-murid yang masuk kembali setelah masa Pembelajaran Jarak Jauh akan semain tertarik untuk mengunjungi perpustakaan.
